My Doc' Door

My Doc' Door (MDD)

What exactly is the MDD?

My Doc’Door (Maison du Doctorat in French) offers enhanced services to PhD students and contributes to the University of Lorraine’s doctoral policy’s new momentum.
The MDD is:
•    A geographically grouping of all PhD support services on two sites: in Metz on the Le Saulcy campus and in Nancy on the ARTEM campus, (Recherche de l'Ecole des Mines building - Rue Léonard de Vinci)
•    Stronger communication, for clearer and more direct information,
•    A personalised reception , in particular for international PhD students,
•    Fewer interlocutors for PhD students: at the MDD, 1 academic advisor and 1 administrative advisor are identified for each PhD student
•    Enhanced academic monitoring, (as provided for in the Order of 25 May 2016)
•    Development of internationalisation, in particular through the DrEAM (Dr Explore and Achieve More) outgoing mobility programme
•    A gateway facilitating access to the University of Lorraine’s various departments.
•    Coordination of doctoral life in partnership with student associations, etc.
