Supervisors
ADUM
ADUM is the privileged tool used by the Université de Lorraine for the administrative and pedagogical management of doctoral students.
Each teacher-researcher or researcher has his or her ADUM account if he or she has already been a thesis supervisor or co-supervisor. If this is not the case, please contact the Educational Officer of the Doctoral School who will handle your request.
Management of thesis subjects
If you wish to access your account to submit or update a thesis topic proposal, please log in directly using the address https://www.adum.fr.
Thesis Co-supervision Authorization Form - ACT
The Authorisation to co-supervise a Thesis may be granted to a teacher-researcher or full researcher not yet entitled to supervise research or to an external personality holding a doctorate, chosen for his scientific competence (article 16- point 2 of the decree of 25 May 2016).
An application for an ACT must be submitted during the first year of the PhD student's thesis to the services of the Sub-Directorate of Research Administration (tab "Encadrantrant" of this website).
In addition, the Doctoral School Board strongly encourages all ACT candidates to follow the specific training organised specifically for them by the University.
Application form for the "Habilitation à diriger des recherches" - HDR
The authorisation to conduct research is a diploma that recognises the high scientific level of the candidate, the originality of his/her approach in a scientific field, his/her ability to master a research strategy in a sufficiently broad scientific or technological field and his/her capacity to supervise young researchers.
A harmonised procedure within the Université de Lorraine, common to all doctoral schools, has been set up. Each HDR application file is first examined by the HDR commission for its opinion and is then forwarded to the scientific council, which gives an opinion on the application.
However, it is recommended that candidates contact the director of the doctoral school or the educational officer of the doctoral school to present their project before submitting the manuscript and to read carefully the Supervisors tab of this website.
