Abstract
The rapid expansion of photovoltaic generation has made the cost-effective operation and maintenance of solar assets a growing concern, with inverters consistently identified as the most failure-prone component of a photovoltaic plant. This thesis, conducted under a CIFRE contract with Feedgy, investigates how the operational data already produced by grid-connected photovoltaic inverters can be exploited to anticipate failures and support the transition from corrective and preventive maintenance towards data-driven predictive maintenance.
