Recruitment procedure for doctoral students
The recruitment of doctoral students is subject to a common procedure at the Doctoral School. This procedure is compulsory as soon as the doctoral student is an employee of UL (doctoral contracts, LUE, ANR...). It is also recommended for other types of recruitment.
Composition of the recruitment committee :
The thesis director and/or the co-director
A representative of the Doctoral School
The Director of the laboratory or one of his representatives
A corporate psychologist or human resources representative (optional)
Applications are preferably made online, from the university's website or from ADUM.
Documents to be provided by candidates
For any thesis proposed within SIReNa doctoral school, the future doctoral student must hold a master's degree or an equivalent title. In the case of a foreign diploma, a request for validation of the diploma must be made.
In all cases (French or foreign master's degree or engineering degree, etc.), the doctoral school examines the file containing :
- the candidate's CV and letter of motivation
- the grades obtained on the diploma conferring the master's degree and a copy of the diploma if available
- 2 letters of recommendation from the Head of the training course and the end-of-study internship tutor
- Tangible elements on the initiation to research (research paper, publication, ...).
