On your arrival, and during your stay, the international reception offices and Division of Doctoral Studies will help you complete the required procedures and formalities, and provide all the information you might need for your life as a student in Lorraine.

1. Your administrative formalities upon your arrival in Lorraine

When you arrive in Lorraine, you must report to one of the two international reception offices with your passport. These offices provide comprehensive assistance in carrying out the required administrative procedures, including helping you obtaining your residence permit and finding accommodation.

2. Your reception and enrollment formalities as a PhD student

Upon your arrival, you will also need to contact:

the international PhD liaison officer to help you settle in (see contacts opposite).
your designated Doctoral School to complete your administrative enrolment procedures. More information on the ”applying and enrolling” page.

3. Registration to the French social security system

The procedure depends on your personal and professional status and on your country of origin.
